About

My name is Ryan Leasure and I’d like to welcome you to my website. If you take a quick look around, you will discover that I love writing about Christianity. I especially enjoy writing about difficult issues related to my faith. Vocationally, I serve as a pastor/elder at Grace Bible Church in Moore, SC where I regularly teach the contents of this blog.

In addition to being a pastor, I’m married to an incredible woman named Tracy who humors me with the occasional theological conversation. More importantly, she keeps me doing normal things instead of only reading books. It’s hard to imagine life without her. Similarly, I’m blessed with two great children—Nora and Hudson. They really are the coolest kids ever.

Prior to pastoring, I was a public school teacher for five years. I even got certified as a principal, though I resigned to pursue vocational ministry before I ever worked in that capacity.

Since I sensed God leading me towards ministry, I left the education world for seminary and went to The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. It was there that I received a Masters of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry degree.

Since I’m a pastor, my default audience for this blog is the average person. While my writing may occasionally lend itself towards a more academic audience, my desire is to write in ways that are accessible to the average person—Christian and non-Christian alike.

In addition to my studies, I’m a Pittsburgh sports fan, avid golfer, lover of board games, and coffee connoisseur.
